For sheer pageantry and spectacle, few motion pictures can claim to equal the splendor of Cecil B. DeMille’s 1956 remake of his epic “The Ten Commandments”. Filmed in Egypt and the Sinai with one of the biggest sets ever constructed for a motion picture, this version tells the story of the life of Moses (Charlton Heston), once favoured in the Pharaoh’s (Yul Brynner) household, who turned his back on a privileged life to lead his people to freedom. With a rare on-screen introduction by Cecil B. DeMille himself.

  • Amazing CLASSIC

Charleston Heston & Yul Brenner... Definitive performances.
  • iTunes Extras and 4K needed

This is such a classic; retelling of the life of Moses; my only concern is where are the Special Features and iTunes Extras for people to watch? This is really annoying when the Special Features appear in the Home Video releases of movies but not on iTunes. Also, I found the extended version on Amazon Prime. I want to see what deleted scenes they cut from the final cut too.

This is a classic if there ever was one, best Moses exodus movie ever. Its authentic to the source material as possible and more so then other movies telling the same story. This is the best Ten Commandments movie ever.
  • Who?

White washing at it’s finest. The King of Egypt was a bold headed white man 😂 . You made Moses and the Israelite white, so it made perfect sense to take out the part where the most high Yahawah turned Moses hand white as Snow, because how could you do that, he’s already white 😂😂😂. One star for effects.

  • Second Half is Awesome

This film takes forever to get going but once you get to The Burning Bush scene it is quite special in the story and 1950’s special effects. No CGI here 😀. If you’re familiar with the story of Moses as most of us are you can skip to The Burning Bush and not miss anything vital.

  • Missing Intro

My only complaint is that the intro from DeMille is missing. Let’s get that added or removed from the description. It’s a great intro.
