This high-voltage sequel continues the adventures of Los Angeles detectives Riggs and Murtaugh (Oscar-winner Mel Gibson and Danny Glover) as they try to thwart a smuggling ring of blond South African "diplomats". Gibson finds romance this time around, and Academy Award- winner Joe Pesci ("GoodFellas," "My Cousin Vinnie") joins the team as fast-talking con artist Leo Getz. "At the Movies" calls this "...Pure dynamite!...a summer blockbuster with enough humor, excitement and action for two movies," while Roger Ebert praises "...Terrific... entertaining from one end to the other." Gene Shalit sums up all the cheers, calling it "...even more fun than the original ...directed at a mile a minute by Richard Donner...lots of laughs.

  • Improperly formatted

Well lethal weapon part two, part three, part four are all incorrectly formatted. Luckily you have the ability to zoom full-screen on your Apple devices. However as no one thought of full-screen on iTunes on the laptop? How do I zoom a widescreen movie? Works on my iPad mini. I can zoom on my iPhone 5s. I love her I cannot zoom any improperly formatted movie on the laptop from iTunes.
  • Ugh.

The start of Hollywood ruining a good idea may not have started with the Lethal Weapon series (I think Jaws 2, and Jaws 3D led this trend), but there is almost nothing palatable about this movie. This time Riggs and Murtaugh take on evil South African Apartheid baddies. While the enemy is refreshingly new - and truly evil - the gags are tired. Oh… look out! Riggs is "CRAAAAAZY" and Murtaugh is longing to "retire". JUST RETIRE ALREADY!!! Sorry, Rotten Tomatoes may disagree with me (82% fresh? Really??), but where I thought the first Lethal Weapon was an outstanding package, LW2, 3, and 4 were monumental wastes of time and talent.

For me lethal weapon 2 is the best in the series. Because of how badass Martin becomes when his woman is killed. And also the movie gives more back story on how riggs wife died

Shame you have to rent it. Go buy it or rent. The 1st was pretty good kinda weird at points. The 2nd has awesome action scenes and story. the ending battle is better than that lame kung fu fight at the end of the 1st. the 3rd is flawed and realing boring. the 4th is ok. it just isnt that good since all the characters look so old. mel doesnt even look like he could be you up at all in the 4th. the 2nd is my favorite and you must see this movie
