Description

Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When an unexpected sandstorm transports Captain Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her unit (TI Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta) to a new world, the soldiers are shocked to discover that this hostile and unknown environment is home to enormous and terrifying monsters immune to their firepower. In their desperate battle for survival, the unit encounters the mysterious Hunter (Tony Jaa), whose unique skills allow him to stay one step ahead of the powerful creatures. As Artemis and Hunter slowly build trust, she discovers that he is part of a team led by the Admiral (Ron Perlman). Facing a danger so great it could threaten to destroy their world, the brave warriors combine their unique abilities to band together for the ultimate showdown.

First off the movie had no plot line and it was a hole lot of me not knowing what was going on because one minute it was on one boring moment and then all of a sudden boom it was so dum and i am the kind of person who would normally like something like this if it had a good plot but sure as heck doesn’t have one.

Giant monsters. Scary Spiders. Dragons. Pirate ships that sail on sand. No swearing. My 4 year old loved it. Better than Godzilla vs Kong
  • Horrible writer

This is one of the worst movies of the last decade that I have seen. Terribly written. I wish I just flushed my money down the toilet because I would’ve been more happy with watching that than this movie.
  • Hopefully there’s a sequel

This was a fine capcom video game adaptation of monster hunter. I enjoyed it. It’s definitely a pg13 movie. No nudity, not even a curse word was mentioned. But still overall entertaining.

I think as a movie based in a game it holds good standards. The action is very high quality but there is not much to the story. Also mentioning that the ending was never finished and you are left wondering in the end. I would not reccommend this movie if you are looking for a story based action film. There are some good points but it is not a movie that I would watch again.

This was one of those movies that turns out to be how you would imagine it to be. Every movie before this was the same as this one. A lot of CGI monsters that we have seen in other movies. By now the monsters should have names and managers. From Avengers to Godzilla aren’t these the same characters. I would love to see one of these guys play a comedy or drama instead of the usual villain. I would hate for them to be typecast.
  • It’s just a fun monster movie

What happen with Milla and the spiders? + why the cliff hanger? Did not understand why they had powerful weapons. Where that came from?
