Harden to follow
So many things that were hard to follow
Save your money
On your first watch, it’s great
Second watch, it’s incredible.
the people who say this movie is bad are the people who watch all the basic crappy action movies released every week that are all the same. this movie is nothing like those. It’s almost like the Shining (not plot-wise but watch-wise). you don’t understand it unless you put in the effort to. if you are going to watch this, here’s my advice. on your first watch, don’t try to understand what’s happening. wait until the end when you can get somewhat of a grip on it, and then watch it again, and it’ll feel like a whole other movie. if you like nolan and you like genuine good movies, then my oh my you’re in for a treat.

I hate this movie and it’s not even over. In the peak of the action, I’m instead on iTunes reading everyone else’s thoughts on this trash and nodding my head in agreement, looking up (and getting blasted in the ears by music and explosions but never dialogue) just to affirm that yeah, I don’t know what’s happening, I don’t care even a little, and I really can’t wait for it to end. I guess I’m leaving it on in case something visually gorgeous or emotionally present/mentally understandable happens. So far, nothing.
I echo everyone else’s thoughts: nothing makes sense, actors try to make anything at all out of flat characters given a stuffy, pompous script so full of indistinguishable dialogue and forced forward momentum but lacking any explanation or comprehension from scene to scene. Legit, every single time anything happens, you’ll never understand why, and it won’t be explained.
This movie is just well-shot stupidity and insufferable, pointless, contrived nonsense. I felt fully compelled to come give it 1 star to help drive the rating down.
Waste of time

Unfortunately this movie is so hard to follow especially it being 2-1/2 hours long just made it worse. It’s so confusing.
Why all the bad reviews???
By Quitin time
I heard other people saying it was hard to follow. My spouse and I sat down to watch and easily followed it. Will you know everything right away? No, just watch. Can’t believe people are giving this movie crap reviews. I thought the actors were great. They fit their role. It kept me on the edge of my seat for 90% of the time. Twisty and a tangled web that you will enjoy. If you liked Inception then this one will blow your mind. Judge for yourself. Don’t listen to people who have the attention span of a 2 year old or can’t handle a plot with layers. Def recommend.
The Theatre (IMAX experience) makes a difference
By wise one 1
The film was not the best or up their in best films by Nolan. I like the potential of Washington in his acting career, but his character felt flat in an emotional draw. Furthermore, the sound is too loud. I enjoyed the first watch in seeing certain parts but not a re-watch for me. The films do deserve a bit of a favorable review since it differs in the storyline from the usual scripts in espionage.
Amazing movie that gets better with rewatch
As the title says the movie will get better when you rewatch it. I get yelled at home everyone they hear the raini night in talin song. The score is the best I’ve heard in a movie it’s incredible what the man can do with his fingers. Rewatch it and pay attention .....Sator Square is a real thing
A muddled mess
I love Nolan’s work but this story is just a mess. Part Matrix, part Bond, part Michael Bay, it is just nonsense. Find another way to waste your time.
