Description

To save his declining business, Chris Cringle (Mel Gibson), also known as Santa Claus, is forced into a partnership with the U.S. military. Making matters worse, Chris gets locked into a deadly battle of wits against a highly skilled assassin (Walton Goggins), hired by a precocious 12-year-old after receiving a lump of coal in his stocking. 'Tis the season for Fatman to get even, in the action-comedy that keeps on giving.

  • LOVED THE CONCEPT

WOW. Loved the concept. It’s not the first dark Christmas movie, but perhaps one of the best. Some very memorable characters that you will not forget anytime soon, especially Chris, Ruth, Skinny man and the Little Sh.... As dark and violent as this movie was, it’s hard to believe the director let Little Sh.. off the hook! I would have preferred a different ending which would have made this movie even better. Still worth the watch.

The two gel just fine, these people are haters, geez. It’s not going to win Best Picture, but who expected that? It’s a fun two hours seeing these box office legends outwit(ty) each other, along with the super gags. It’s a fun 2 hours, $15.00. Don’t build it into more than it is.
  • Horrible, horrible - do not waste your money on this!

It’s one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. Do not waste your money on it, or show it to your kids! Other than loads of killings around Santa Claus and a cheap production, what exactly is the story line? What has happened to Mel Gibson? The Year of Living Dangerously remains one of my favorite movies. What a deep, deep fall. This is just sad.

Yes this is exactly what we need a violent Christmas movie directed against an uplifting figure. Many of the reviews state it is dark. Absolutely and that tells you all you need to know. Some dark twisted person came up with an idea to kill Santa. Maybe it is a reflection on society and where we are today that anything good or part of our culture needs to be torn down. Despite the ending any message this movie attempts to convey is lost in it storytelling.
  • So worth it!

Really cool twist to the Santa clause mythology, grounded to what if Clause was a real figure in our world. Great acting, some action, a really different view of Santa Claus that turns out to be a very entertaining movie. My go to Christmas movie moving forward.
